Strings of the world is a world-music festival dedicated to string instruments. The festival is a representation of major musical genres: from Western and Hindustani classical to folk, jazz and more. The objective is to showcase rare and dying string instruments.

Music is a universal language that tugs at our heartstrings. And this is especially true when the music itself is birthed from strings. From the ravanhattha to the cello; the koto to the veena; the violin to the sarod…
Some of the best string musicians in the world are a part of the festival. The musicians are drawn from many genres, cultures and continents to create a unique musical and cultural experience.
